How to PIN your Debit Mastercard

Before you use your new Debit Mastercard you will need to add a PIN to keep your card secure and then activate to use. Simply follow the steps below and you'll be good to go!

                                      

In order to PIN your card, you must be set up for Unity Internet Banking and have provided us with your mobile phone number, so that we can send you verification codes by text. If you have not yet registered for Internet Banking you can do so here.

Step 1 - How to PIN your card

  1. Log in to internet banking here.
  2. Select PIN cards in the top menu.
  3. Select the 16-digit Card number using the drop-down arrow. Make sure the card number matches the new card you have been sent in the post.
  4. Enter the expiry date on the front of your card (MM/YY).
  5. Enter your chosen 4-digit PIN number.
  6. Re-enter your 4-digit PIN number to confirm.
  7. Click the Continue button (by clicking Continue you also confirm you have read and agreed to the card conditions of use).
  8. A message will appear advising that a text verification code has been sent to your registered mobile phone number - please allow a few minutes for this to be received.
  9. Enter your text verification code.
  10. Click the Continue button (this also confirms your agreement to the card conditions of use).
  11. A message will appear advising you that your PIN has been successfully loaded.
  12. Once complete allow 10 minutes for your card to be ready to use.

Step 2 - How to activate your card

1. Use it in an ATM to view your balance or withdraw cash; or
2. Make an EFTPOS transaction with the card inserted and the PIN entered.

Once you use your new card, your old one will stop working.

Important information

• To enable Tap & Go, please make a transaction using your PIN first.
• Card pinning is not available on our mobile banking app.
• Please ensure you have sufficient credit on your phone to receive the verification text message.
